DECARBONIZING DIFFERENTLY

REDUCING AND ADAPTING TO CLIMATE CHANGE

COMMITMENT NO. 6 - ENVIRONMENT

Taking action for the climate means first of all measuring and then reducing the greenhouse gas emissions generated by textile production across the supply chain and identifying areas where we can act.

Today, adapting to climate change is essential to reduce the vulnerability of natural and human ecosystems against the effects of global warming. For the past 10 years, CEPOVETT has been committed to voluntary carbon offsetting through its reforestation programme in France and Madagascar, which contributes to decarbonization.

Cepovett 2030 Climate Plan

Climate, air and energy policies are increasingly converging as a result of the growing interconnection of their objectives.
The Climate Air Energy Plan is an initiative aimed at preserving natural resources and reducing climate change by controlling energy usage and developing renewable energies. In line with its strategy of decarbonizing its textile operations in the workwear sector, CEPOVETT will be introducing a long-term plan for implementing environmental measures and reducing the carbon impact of its products and collections. Set out in the 2030 climate plan, this climate strategy is based on three major priorities: reducing and measuring greenhouse gas emissions throughout the textile supply chain, supporting its strategic industry partners, and developing a voluntary offsetting programme by planting trees, which act as carbon sinks. These three areas will be measured, assessed and tracked using non-financial indicators, and published in our annual CSR report.
