CEPOVETT Group has been contributing to the fight against global warming since 2011 through the implementation of the voluntary reforestation programme "Arbre de vie, coton solidaire", which was initiated in Mali, one of the fair-trade organic cotton production areas. In addition, the integration of its new head office has resulted in the planting of about 100 trees and other plants. Also, the new CSR 2020-25 road map will extend this approach by planting in a state-owned public forest in the Rhône-Alpes region, which is the epicentre of the group's industrial activities.
In order to maximise the value of products being created in France, and in particular through the purchase of French-made fabrics or French-designed workwear, the CEPOVETT Group reforestation programme aims to share this positive vision with its stakeholders. In addition to the climate component, this initiative also contributes to the preservation of biodiversity, in particular through the reintroduction of the wild black bee into the forest.
"s an extension of our 2030 reforestation program, Cepovett is reaffirming its desire to plant near its various industrial activity zones, particularly in Madagascar and now in France. Choosing to plant in a forest in the Rhône-Alpes region is a strong symbol of a mobilisation against global warming in our field, and promotes the preservation of biodiversity."
