This programme aims to combat deforestation and offer sustainable income alternatives to the island&#8217;s inhabitants. EPSILON and B\u00f4ndy are actively involving local communities in the planting and through mangrove conservation initiatives, such as beekeeping and mangrove silk production. These sustainable activities enable villagers to become economically self-sufficient while preserving their environment. Restoring the mangroves brings many direct benefits to the local communities of Maromiandra, particularly in terms of essential natural resources, including increased fish stocks and the protection of crab stocks.
