RECYCLING DIFFERENTLY

DEVELOPING CIRCULAR ECONOMY

COMMITMENT NO. 7 - ENVIRONMENT

CEPOVETT has made the circular economy a key priority in its CSR policy, covering everything from the eco-design of its garments to the recycling of its textile products at the end of their life.

Working with leading industry partners, we offer tailor-made, socio-economic and innovative recycling solutions for end-of-life workwear. We collect, consolidate, sort and recycle through a variety of dedicated reprocessing channels by setting up specific operations with our customers.

The AGEC law continues to be implemented

The "Anti-waste for a circular economy" (known as AGEC) and "Climate and Resilience" laws are based on 5 key principles: the gradual restriction of the use of disposable plastic, with a view to definitively phasing it out by 2040; the limitation of waste by promoting solidarity-based re-use; the provision of clear and transparent information to consumers; the fight against programmed obsolescence; and an incentive for the most polluting industries to produce and manage their waste more effectively. More specifically, they establish an obligation for purchasers of workwear in the public sector to acquire up to 20% of their supplies from re-use, re-cycling or recycling. For several years now, CEPOVETT has been providing practical solutions to this obligation, to meet the specifications of local authorities. Its #PositiveImpact label certifies that at least 20% of the weight of the product is made from raw materials with low environmental impact or recycled materials.
